Check out the new page titled, "Curriculum Expectations" under the math tab. It gives a simple and clear overview of what your child should know by the end of grade 3. It also includes sample problems for each strand. These problems are good examples of concepts your child will need to understand to be successful with EQAO testing at the end of May. We are progressing well through the curriculum, however, extra practice at home always helps. Don't forget to let your child practice using the "prodigy" math site. It is an excellent site that supports their learning!
Students enjoyed an afternoon session with Scientists in the School and learned a lot about bridges! We also had Mrs. Polcar in for an afternoon to give the students hands on experiences with soil! The students are patiently waiting for their bean seed experiment to take root!
